Quick Answer: How do you store your knitting supplies?

How do you organize knitting needles and yarn?

Plastic Zip Bags

Plastic zip bags are good for organizing pretty much anything, but I especially dig them for holding circular needles. Keep them stacked in a drawer, or do as I have and sew several of them into a fabric case, and you’ll easily be able to see whatever needle you need for your next knitting project!

What is the best way to store wool?

Woollen clothing and blankets should be folded with acid-free tissue paper and stored in air-tight containers or vacuum bags. Wool coats should be thoroughly cleaned, dried, brushed and aired out before storing them in breathable, natural-cotton coat bags to avoid a moth getting into them during summer.

How long do knitting needles last?

Good quality bamboo and wooden knitting needles can last for many years, especially those with a larger diameter (4mm+, US size 6+). Long straight knitting needles are particularly durable. Bamboo and wooden needles are more fragile than metal though.
